Level 1: High Winds Activity Matrix
Insert your High Wind Procedures here. For example - 1. Advise contractors of forecasted wind conditions 2. Advise caution when opening/closing terminal doors to ramp areas and opening closing GSE, Vehicle doors 3. Secure bag and cargo carts, loose items, ladder/Maintenance stands, and towbars and place near or against building. 4. Open Curtains on all empty baggage carts 5. Ensure parking brakes are engaged on all ground equipment 6. Clear gates of FOD & return cargo to cargo facilities 7. Suspend use of Pre-Conditioned Air Hoses. Air hoses must be disconnected prior to Wind reaching 30mph. Weighted Hoses can be connected up to 35mph 8. Remove Aircraft Cones. Cones with a min 15lb base can remain up to 40mph 9. Ensure all Weather/bridge doors are closed if there is no aircraft at the gate 10. Ensure all weather/bridgedoors are closed if there is no aircraft at gate 11. do not elevate cabin service / catering high lifts and passenger stairs not equipped with stabilizers 12.Catering trucks & air stairs lowered & deploy stabilizers when not in use 13. Deicer booms retract when not in use
