President Marcos Introduced to AI-Powered Weather Intelligence Supporting National Irrigation and Agriculture Operations

Tomorrow.io, the world’s leading Resilience Platform™, today announced that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of the Republic of the Philippines was formally introduced to Tomorrow.io’s operational weather intelligence platform during his official visit to the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) headquarters and newly modernized Command Center in Quezon City, Philippines.

The visit marked the President’s first comprehensive presentation of the platform and its role in supporting irrigation and agricultural operations across the country. NIA Administrator Eddie Guillen led the briefing, showcasing how Tomorrow.io’s technology is embedded into the agency’s daily workflows and decision-making processes.

During the live operational walkthrough, NIA demonstrated how the platform supports dam monitoring, construction site visibility, automated reporting, and advanced trend and historical data analysis. The system also enables specialized dashboards, including views that contain regional interfaces that display farmer plots as geospatial polygons enriched with real-time agricultural insights.

Rather than a conceptual overview, the demonstration reflected an actively deployed system supporting water allocation decisions, flood preparedness planning, and infrastructure oversight at a national scale. The Command Center integrates satellite-fed observations, artificial intelligence-driven forecasting, and impact-based analytics into a centralized operational environment designed to enhance responsiveness and resilience.

The visit comes amid significant national investment in irrigation and agriculture modernization, including ₱63 billion allocated for irrigation programs in 2026. As the Philippine government advances efforts to expand irrigation coverage and strengthen food security, the integration of real-time environmental intelligence into NIA’s operations represents a strategic modernization of critical infrastructure management.

“With the help of modern technologies such as AI-based crop monitoring and smart weather forecasting systems, we can ensure that our farm and irrigation projects are based on accurate data,” President Marcos said, according to the Philippine News Agency.

The modernized Command Center represents a broader shift from manual data collection toward real-time, data-driven infrastructure management. By embedding advanced environmental intelligence directly into operational agencies, the government is strengthening its ability to protect crops, manage water resources, and improve preparedness for extreme weather events.

Media coverage of the visit emphasized the importance of advanced forecasting and real-time monitoring systems in strengthening the agriculture sector and supporting farmers across the country.

Tomorrow.io continues to partner with public-sector agencies globally to deliver mission-critical environmental intelligence that strengthens resilience across agriculture, infrastructure, and disaster preparedness initiatives.
