Amazon Leo and AWS veteran to lead go-to-market as Tomorrow.io brings next-generation weather intelligence to market
Tomorrow.io, the weather intelligence company, today announced the appointment of Jason Rizzo as Chief Revenue Officer. Rizzo will lead the company’s go-to-market organization, driving revenue growth, expanding enterprise and government customer relationships, and building the sales organization to support Tomorrow.io’s next phase of growth, including the commercial rollout of its DeepSky satellite constellation.
Rizzo joins from Amazon, where he spent the last 7.5 years building go-to-market organizations in cloud and satellite. He joined AWS as the first global sales hire for AWS Ground Station, leading its commercial launch, and later led North America for the AWS Aerospace & Satellite business. Most recently, he led the North and South American business for Amazon Leo, building its enterprise sales organization from the ground up.
Over a career spanning nearly 20 years in cloud, satellite, SaaS, and emerging technology, Rizzo has built multiple sales teams into repeatable, scalable organizations and launched new business units. He has owned executive relationships with Fortune 50 and mid-market customers across retail, logistics, media and entertainment, energy, fintech, and more, and is known for partnering with leaders to drive customer success.
“In weather, the blocker for AI and better accuracy isn’t the model, it’s the lack of data. DeepSky is going to become the infrastructure of data for everywhere in the world. To bring that to market, we need a revenue leader who can match that ambition. Jason has built and scaled global go-to-market teams around breakthrough technology and has owned executive relationships with some of the world’s largest enterprises. I’m excited to have him lead our next phase of growth.”— Shimon Elkabetz, CEO of Tomorrow.io
“Tomorrow.io is helping organizations act on weather before it affects their business, and Shimon, Rei, Itai and team have built a strong foundation for this next chapter,” said Rizzo. “I’m excited to build a go-to-market engine that matches the strength of the product and the ambition of this team.”
About the Tomorrow.io constellation
Tomorrow.io has launched 15 satellites since 2023, and its Gen-1 constellation of microwave sounders is in orbit and operating today. The satellites read the temperature and moisture of the atmosphere through cloud, and the constellation’s global revisit now runs well below 60 minutes.
DeepSky, Tomorrow.io’s next-generation, AI-native constellation, is now being built. Its spacecraft will be substantially larger than the Gen-1 sounders, with more power, greater capability and lower latency. Each will carry five instruments that read across the electromagnetic spectrum, from radio and microwave to infrared and visible light, all in the same column of atmosphere at the same moment. DeepSky is designed to close the gaps in global observation over the open oceans and the Global South, where early warning arrives late.
Weather intelligence at work
Weather intelligence turns a forecast into an operational decision. The Tomorrow.io Resilience Platform™ is an agentic, end-to-end, multimodal geospatial workflow platform, fully accessible programmatically and built on Tomorrow.io’s AI forecasting and its own satellite constellation. Organizations use it to build workflows that create value from predictions and historical data: navigating disruptions as they unfold, getting ahead of threats to avoid disruption, and seizing the opportunities weather creates to gain an advantage. It is in use by more than half of the Fortune 10 today.
About Tomorrow.io
Tomorrow.io designs, launches and operates its own weather satellites, turns what they observe into AI forecasts, and delivers those forecasts as decisions and actions inside the daily operations of organizations around the world. It combines next-generation space technology, advanced generative AI and proprietary weather modeling, and owning the chain from the instrument in orbit to the decision on the ground gives it a global record of observations that software alone cannot copy. Selected by TIME Magazine as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Companies in the World and named No. 1 in Space on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list for 2026, Tomorrow.io is headquartered in Boston.
